The successful launch of the Kingfisher CCD has compelled Raptor to launch the new deep cooled vacuum version of the same camera. The Kingfisher V uses new Sony ICX694 chip with 6MP resolution and offers 4.54?m x 4.54?m pixel with guaranteed ultra sharp image resolution and QE of up to 77%. The camera offers extremely low dark current by cooling of ? -111°C that permits prolonged exposure times, 0.000001 e/p/s extremely low dark current and ess than 1.5 electrons (Global shutter) readout noise proving its as the perfect camera for staring applications.

The camera offers excellent performance for low light applications such as fluorescence imaging, astronomy, Bio & Chemi-luminescence, calcium signaling, fluorescence imaging / spectroscopy, flow cytometry, FRET / FRAP / TIRF, genome sequencing, high content screening, high resolution fluorescence imaging, hyperspectral imaging, live cell imaging, single molecule detection and solar cell inspection.
